The Mortality of Love

These moments that could last forever start to feel like decades...ages
When a relationship goes through those "rocky stages"
The pages in the book of love has been slightly ripped
To trip on the words I love you and the everlasting kiss he left starts to fade from your lips
In the beginning we all are full of pure bliss- ecstasy- the high on cloud nine has dropped a few numbers
The romantic midsummers become burdens on our shoulders
Couples become singles as reality rears its ugly head
Dusting off bits of cloud nine that shrouded the minds of you and your lover
The closeness becomes distance as times flies by and you see the one you thought you loved- waving goodbye
Reality creeps inside the plexiglass box seperating your fantasy
Its looking snidley..shaking the glass widly..nowhere to hide
but face the truth
open your eyes and see the reality thats lies
Outside
